Annual Fund

The first question that most outside constituencies ask before making a gift is, "What do your Board, staff, and parents contribute?" It is so important that we show support from within before we go to outside sources for contributions. Participation in the Annual Fund demonstrates to others that we, as the closest ones to the mission, philanthropically support our school outside of tuition.

Foundations that support our school with capital gifts gauge the health of the Annual Fund before issuing grants. A high participation rate demonstrates to them that MPCS is a school where its community is fully supportive of the mission.

MPCS faculty and staff lead the way and are the first to faithfully support the Annual Fund.

Every student at MPCS benefits from Annual Fund, which provides the extra things that most likely determined your choice to send your child to MPCS:

As is typical for most independent schools, paying tuition gives your child access to all of this, covering approximately 90% of the school's operating expenses. Yet, charitable gifts are necessary to help sustain and expand it. Annual Fund raises unrestricted gifts to support the annual operating budget, which includes increased teacher compensation. Giving to Annual Fund also helps keep tuition as low as possible for all families.

The MPCS Annual Fund requests donations based on the school year and asks that it be your family's first priority of giving to the school. The 5-day "blitz campaign" typically runs early in the fall, so you will have the opportunity to support the school early each academic year. 

The fiscal year for MPCS runs July 1 through June 30. The development office will issue year-end statements for calendar year taxes for gifts of more than $250. If you've missed the Annual Fund blitz, it's not too late to give anytime during the school year.

A gift of any amount is appreciated and counts towards the important participation measurements. Each donor is asked to prayerfully consider giving a meaningful gift, at whatever level that may be for you, that reflects your commitment to the school and your ability to give.

Yes! All gifts to Mount Paran Christian School are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Upon receipt of your gift, the MPCS development office will generate an acknowledgement letter, which you may use as documentation when filing your taxes.

Yes! Gifts can be automatically charged to your credit card on a weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly basis. Please indicate this choice on the online giving form. Thank you!
