The 2018 MPCS Women’s Retreat will be held February 3 and 4 at Callaway Gardens, and is open to all women of MPCS – moms, faculty and staff, wives of staff, and alumni.
The theme for this year’s retreat is “rest.” We all need rest. Not just physical rest, but the rest that takes place in our soul when we are yoked with Jesus. Without rest for the soul we become weary in the journey. This retreat will offer women the chance to “rest” while studying God’s Word, fellowshipping with one another, worshipping, laughing, and more.
Emily Vogeltanz will be the featured speaker. Jourdan Johnson will lead worship for the event.
The setting for the two-day event is the beautiful Lodge and Spa/Southern Pine Cottages of Callaway Gardens. The all-inclusive packages include lodging, four meals, snacks, and admission to the gardens. A day package is also available with three meals and a snack. There are also several optional activities available, including bike rentals, spa services, ziplines, and tours.
For complete details on the weekend and registration, please download the retreat brochure. Registration closes January 9, 2018. Register before December 20th to save $25. Partial scholarships are available. To pay online, simply click here.

Retreat Guests

Emily and her husband, Bryson, serve at Passion City Church as location pastors at PCC Cumberland. She provides leadership to The Grove (a monthly gathering for the women of Atlanta) alongside Shelley Giglio. Emily has four amazing kids and a never-ending pile of laundry. Her love language is cooking, so come on over for dinner sometime – the front door is always open!
Jourdan lives in Atlanta with her husband, Jeff, and their two children. While she grew up in Florida, Jourdan went on to spend many years in Texas where she led worship for various churches, student groups, and women’s events. During that time, she and Jeff has the privilege of leading worship at Breakaway, a college ministry at Texas A&M University. In 2016 they headed to Georgia as Jeff joined the worship staff at Passion City Church. Jourdan also serves at PCC with worship and at The Grove.
