Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant will also be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.  —John 12:26
Service as a lifestyle; this is our vision at Mount Paran Christian School. We realize that in serving God we are also called to love and serve others. As a result of this vision, we have an all-school, staff and students, service day where we go and serve the community.
We also have Action and Truth teams, because we believe what John wrote in 1 John 3:8 where is says, “let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” These teams strategically partnered with organizations in our community on an ongoing basis so we can show the love of God to our community and help develop our students into servant leaders. We are currently serving at Feed My Lambs Marietta, Calvary Children’s Home, Gaines Park Assisted Living, Ridenour Adventure Center, and Hayes Elementary on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.

MPCS Missions

Missions experiences are an important part of a student's time at Mount Paran Christian School. Matthew 28:19-20 says, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;..."
Each year MPCS sends mission teams all across the globe. The students and leaders become the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus as they minister to the needs of others. Our mission teams are trained through the school and the trips are open to students, parents, and staff.

Our students have served the Lord internationally in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Cambodia, and the Dominican Republic. Mount Paran Christian School also offers missions trips within the United States. To do this we have partnered with Blue Skies to serve families that have children that have chronic or terminal illnesses, and with the Appalachia Service Project to help repair homes for low-income families in rural Central Appalachia.
Providing academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment, Mount Paran Christian School unites with home and church to prepare servant-leaders to honor God, LOVE OTHERS, and walk in Truth.

Action and Truth

List of 5 items.

  • Action and Truth Calvary Home

Calvary Children’s Home is a great ministry that helps provide a safe, loving, Christian environment for children needing placement apart from their families. A team of high school students goes there every other week to serve the ministry and to spend time with the kids.
  • Action and Truth Feed My Lambs

This year fifth grade has been serving at the Marietta Feed My Lamb preschool once each month.  Our students are investing in these preschool children throughout the year by doing crafts with them, reading to them, playing with them, and when they aren't going to the school they share pictures and Bible verses through videos. As a school we are excited about this opportunity to share the love of Jesus with these preschool children right in our backyard!
  • Action and Truth Gaines Park

There is a team of high school students who go to Gaines Park Assisted Living every other week. They spend time with the residents there as they do crafts, play games, and build relationships with the residents.
  • Action and Truth Hayes

This year 6th grade has partnered with Hayes Elementary to help provide enrichment lessons for their kindergarten students. Once a month the whole sixth grade class and teachers go and teach hands on interactive lesson with all of the kindergarten classes at Hayes. There is also a group of 6th grade students and parents that have started an after school club called "Hands on Hayes."
  • Action and Truth Ridenour Adventure Center

The Ridenour Adventure Center is an afterschool and summer camp program within a Walton community near our school. A team of high school students goes there every other week to help invest in the lives of the kids there.  Volunteers participate in the opening worship session during each visit, singing praise songs and praying with the children.  On a special visit during the Cobb County early release week, the volunteers organized and supervised a special edible craft project, which the kids loved!
