MPCS Mobile App Group Chats

This school year, the updated Mount Paran Christian School mobile app will be used as a key source of information more than ever! The MPCS mobile app is a comprehensive resource for communications, news and events, calendars, schedules, and more. A new group Chats tab has also been added as a new feature which will serve as grade level and group-me communications for parent, students, teams, and clubs. Current class or team GroupMe’s will be retiring as the school moves to the MPCS mobile app platform for more secure chat features. 

See below for full instructions on how to download, sign in, and utilize the mobile app.

1. Download the app on your device:

2. Sign in using your same website "Eagle Family Portal" (MPCS website) login credentials.

• Students will use the first portion of their school email as the username and their Canvas (device) password. (example:  jsmith29 and device/Canvas password)

• Parents (if not created already) must first establish a password on the Eagle Family Portal (MPCS website) by selecting the arrow on the top left edge and selecting "Forgot Password" and following the steps via email. You MUST use the parent email addresse on file with admissions' registration for enrollment.

• Staff must follow the same "forgot password" instructions. The username will be the first portion of your MPCS email address (or entire email address for some staff members). Other family community members should inquire about how to access. 

*NOTE: You may use the app without signing in, but you will NOT have access to the Chat feature or the Directory. If you have trouble signing in with the instructions above, please email enews@mtparanschool.com. 

3. Once signed in, toggle YES to receive all notifications for all areas and subscriptions. You may turn these features off later as needed. 

*NOTE:  Make sure your app is up to date and your phone settings allow notifications.

 

 

4. The HOME page shows recent Weekly Word news as well as upcoming events. 

 

5. CHATS will show you all group chat rooms that you are a member of. This may include:

• Your "Class of" group
• Athletic team or parent groups
• Arts groups
• Leadership and Club groups

You may begin chatting within this GroupMe style format, sharing relevant information, photos, schedule updates, and more! You may choose to mute notifications to any group. Group rosters are updated upon tryouts or group selections and may automatically change each year. 

 

 

6. The WEEKLY WORD button will display all recent news posts and information that is sent via the Wednesday all-school newsletter.

Tap each entry to read more details, purchase tickets, or find important links. 

 

7. The EVENTS tab displays all upcoming events happening on campus, except athletics which is found in the MORE tab.

 

8. The MORE button opens up additional features such as: 

• Eagle Family Portal access
• FACTS
• Canvas
• School store
• Volunteer to Serve link
• Giving link
• SAGE Dining menus
• Student Absence Form
• Change of Contact Information Form
• MPCS Social Media
• Blog and Podcast

 

 

9. The ATHLETICS team schedules are also found in the MORE section.

You may view all upcoming games on this section, and FILTER in the top right corner to view only the teams you are interested in. 

 

10. The DIRECTORY is found in the MORE section as well.

Find contact information for all students, staff, parents, and alumni through this feature which is limited to only those affiliated with MPCS in our databases.
