MPCS Ranks in GMEA All-District Honor Band
Congratulations to the following middle school band students for earning a position in the 2026 GMEA All-District Honor Band:
A. DeVaux (Ranked #1 middle school flautist in Cobb County!)
O. Burroughs (Ranked #8 middle school flautist in Cobb County!)
This is an extremely competitive ensemble, with hundreds of musicians from throughout Cobb County competing for one of the highly coveted chair positions. To gain admittance, they had to pass a rigorous audition which included tests of scale facility, sight-reading, and solo etude performance.
In addition, congratulations to A. DeVaux for qualifying to participate in the final round of All-State Band auditions. Best wishes to her as she prepares for the final audition in January!
