MPCS DECA Achieves Top Honors and Advances to ICDC

The newly established MPCS DECA chapter proudly represented our school at the Georgia State Career Development Conference. Our students distinguished themselves not only through outstanding academic achievement, but also as the only Christian school in attendance. Competing against top programs from across the state, including one of the largest DECA chapters in the world, several of our students earned Top 10 finishes in their respective events. 

L. Broggi and M. Murphy were named finalists in Financial Services Team Decision Making. S. Tucker and D. Wu advanced as finalists in Business Law and Ethics Team Decision Making. M. Callis, M. Kerley, and L. Merab earned top honors for their Innovation Plan. As a result, these students have qualified to compete at the highest level of competition at DECA’s International Career Development Conference this April, where they will join more than 25,000 students from around the globe.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. In the fall of 2025, a group of pioneering students led by senior Miller Callis, founded the MPCS DECA chapter and dedicated Thursday afternoons to sharpening their knowledge of business concepts and bonding as a team.  While competition season is underway, they’re welcoming new members anytime. Students interested in joining can feel free to reach out to advisors Dr. Rogers and/or Mrs. Cofield.
