MPCS is Named AP Gold Honor Roll School

MPCS was named to the 2023 AP School Gold Honor Roll, which recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results and broadening access for students. Schools can earn the Honor Roll recognition annually based on their ability to increase their school’s college-going culture, to provide opportunities for students to earn college credit, and by maximizing college readiness.

The AP School Honor Roll offers four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Mount Paran Christian School had 183 seniors who took a total of 403 AP exams, with 87% scoring a three or higher on at least one AP exam!

Research shows that students who take AP courses and exams are more likely to attend college and graduate on time. The students who enter four-year colleges with AP credits accelerate their path to graduation and build confidence for college success. And, even for those who don’t earn college credit, AP coursework provides early exposure to college-level work and contributes to a college-going school culture.
