Middle School Flutist Ava DeVaux Earns Superior Rating
Congratulations to middle school band student Ava DeVaux for earning a Superior rating, the highest possible score, at the Georgia Music Educators Association Solo and Ensemble Festival last Saturday!
Ava performed “Nocturne” by Philippe Gaubert, a lyrically and technically demanding work — considered an advanced piece typically performed by high school or collegiate flutists. It showcases exceptional musical maturity and precision. Performing the piece and receiving a Superior rating is an outstanding achievement.
