Paige and Keith Johnson were celebrated as the recipients of the 2023-2024 Distinguished Honorary Alumnus of the Year. The Johnsons who have five children and one in-law who have graduated from MPCS, have served and been long-time supporters with their talents and gifts for many years. Their investments into MPCS have been a blessing to current staff, students, and alumni.
Keith and Paige Johnson joined the MPCS family in 2008. Keith is a graduate of Auburn University and was a part of the Brasfield & Gorrie team which constructed the Catherine Steele Sewell Stadium. Paige also graduated from Auburn University. She was a member of the Auburn Tigers Cheerleading squad. Keith and Paige met at Auburn in 1988 on a blind date and have been married 36 years. They have five children, Keith ’13, Sarah Beth ‘15, Mary Grace '19, Lolly '21, and Claudia '22.
Keith served on the Board of Trustees for 10 years, taking MPCS to new heights and securing the future of Christian education for generations. He served as a Bible study leader for many years, impacting countless young men who are now leaders in business, ministry, and their homes. Paige served as a middle school and high school cheer coach, establishing the incredible legacy of our State Championship reign— she coached the first ten consecutive titles. Her impact is still felt as her former cheerleaders are now doctors, lawyers, teachers, business owners, dentists, and engineers. Everyone that knows her well knows that her reasons for coaching were all about the eternal rewards of winning souls for Christ.
Keith and Paige served at high school retreats— cooking in the kitchen, serving and washing dishes, leading service day projects, missions, Bible studies, and parent groups. They were part of our football founders, contributing to the launching of that program and investing in new facilities, academic programs, and Christian life ventures. It can be said with confidence that their heart's desire has been to honor God and serve His people by investing in the lives of students and families at MPCS. Coaching for Paige and serving on the Board for Keith was an expression of their love for God and their willingness to be obedient to his calling. They have been generous with their prayers, talents, and gifts to make MPCS a light on a hill for the glory of God.
The MPCS Alumni Association celebrates Keith and Paige Johnson as the 2023-2024 Honorary Alumnus of the Year.
