Carpool Information for 2026-2027

Carpool Cards

Please check your mailboxes in the next few weeks for your new carpool cards, as well as your new vehicle security decals. Be sure to affix your new 2026-2027 decals to your driver's side windshield so that it is easily visible to security when entering the front gate. A complimentary car magnet is included to show your school spirit!

Your student carpool card must be placed in your front windshield on your dashboard when you come through the afternoon carpool line each day. This is to ensure that our carpool system notifies our students in their classrooms that you have arrived. Please take a picture of your carpool number on your cell phone so that you always have it with you. Other approved individuals may pick up students in the carpool line with a school-issued carpool card or a picture of the carpool card on their phone. There are no exceptions to this rule.

The map on the back of your carpool card will include details about how your designated car line works. Please note the specific carpool entrance locations and times on the back of your card. In order to avoid long carpool lines, we ask that you do NOT arrive on campus earlier than your designated pickup time.

Please know that high school students are not directly notified that you are on our campus. All non-driving high school students will be picked up at the Murray Innovation Center/senior lot after school in yellow carpool. They must independently go to the yellow carpool pick-up location immediately after their last class period.

  • For families with high school students and younger siblings: Pick up your lower and middle school students in purple carpool and then proceed to the Murray Innovation Center/senior lot to pick up your high school students.
  • Families with ONLY high school students: must enter from Stilesboro Road at the high school/Murray Innovation Center entrance.
  • Preschool, lower, and middle school students may only be picked up in their designated carpool lines. Please use the correct carpool entrance indicated on the map.
  • All students must be picked up by 3:20 p.m. Any students in Kindergarten - grade 8 who are not picked up by 3:20 will be sent to The Zone/After-School Care (unless carpool is running late).

Morning Drop-Off

  • Please drop off in the morning at the same location as your child(ren)'s afternoon pickup. Lower school and middle school students must be dropped off at one of the entrances of the Mulkey Building. Kindergarten students may be dropped off at the Mulkey main office entrance in the mornings. Students may be dropped off each morning starting at 7:20 a.m. (except for Late-Start Wednesdays where drop-off begins at 8:15 a.m.). If needed, working parents may take advantage of complimentary Early Care with adult supervision starting at 7:00.  All other families should drop off in the morning starting at 7:20, except on Wednesdays when regular drop off begins at 8:15.
  • ONLY preschool/TK students may be dropped off at the Sewell Cottage in the morning.

Questions about carpool, carpool cards, group carpools, or parent decals may be directed to carpool@mtparanschool.com. You may also find the links for group carpool, walkers, etc. in the Eagle Family Portal under the transportation tab.

*Please have patience the first few weeks of school with our morning and afternoon carpool lines. It does take time for families and students to become familiar with the dismissal routines.

Thank You

We would like to express our appreciation to the Cobb County police officers who provide traffic assistance for carpool each school day. While dedicated officers provide this service at our request, their presence is never guaranteed. They are sometimes called away for other emergencies, and when this happens, there may be no one to provide traffic control on the streets surrounding our campus during carpool. In such cases, we have no other legal option but to exercise caution and to follow campus signs directing drivers when and where to turn when leaving campus. Thank you for your assistance, and when you get a opportunity, please say thank you to those officers serving our community.
