AP Pass Rate Stays Sky High
Congratulations to the 82 MPCS students and recent graduates who have earned Advanced Placement Scholar Awards for 2025, in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams. In total, 91 percent of MPCS students passed their AP exams last spring. The scholar summary average score was 3.8.

The College Board's Advanced Placement Program provides motivated and academically-prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both, for successful performance on the AP Exams taken in May. Traditionally, about 20 percent of approximately two million students worldwide who take AP Exams perform at a sufficiently high level to earn an AP Scholar Award.

  • There were 194 MPCS students who took 416 AP exams.
  • The total percentage of AP students with passing scores of 3 or higher on exams is a record 91 percent!
  • Notably, eleven subjects at MPCS had 100 percent pass rates: AP Physics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Drawing, AP 3D Art, AP Language, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Spanish Language, AP US History, AP 2D Art, and AP Human Geography.
  • Special congratulations to the MPCS high school teachers who teach those courses.

    • AP Macroeconomics – Syndi Kyle
    • AP Microeconomics – Syndi Kyle
    • AP Drawing and 3D Art – Kelly Tarver

MPCS faculty and high school AP students continue to impress with a 6-year history of exam success. MPCS reached "AP Gold Honor Roll" awarded by the College Board once again. Consistently scoring above 80 percent on exams, many of our AP students begin college with abundant core course credits. These high AP exam score exemptions applied by most universities enable our alumni to explore additional academic pursuits, second majors, masters degree programs, or early graduation.
