Grades 3 and 4 Football and Cheer for 2025-2026

Families with children rising third and fourth grades for the 2025-2026 school year are invited to learn more about the grades 3 and 4 MPC Rookie Tackle League for football and cheer. 

Football and cheer registration is conducted online through the MPC Sports Academy (link below).

Team slots are first-come, first-serve until the league is full. Registration will open on May 6 at 10:00 a.m.

CHEER (rising grades 3-4)

Girls in grades 3-4 are encouraged to sign up for the MPC Grade 3/4 cheerleading season. Spots will be limited to the first 24 registrations. They will learn MPC sideline cheers and cheer for the third and fourth-grade football players during their Saturday games.

FOOTBALL (rising grades 3-4)

Boys in grades 3-4 are encouraged to sign up for the MPC football Rookie Tackle League for the 2025-2026 season. The boys will play using the USA Football 6-man format. This is full-pad tackle football but with a smaller field and only 6 players per team. The smaller number of players allows for faster and more unique skill development, while learning the basics of the game, as well as team chemistry and sportsmanship. All coaches will be certified through the USA Football coach certification program. The program will also use a “universal playbook,” which allows every player to play every position during the season. The practices will be done altogether and in a format that allows all players to equally work at every position with every coach. Games will be played with different combinations of teams every time. Players will be randomly selected so they get to experience playing with all teammates and for all coaches at every position at some point during the season. MPC will provide game jerseys as well as practice jerseys. Players are responsible for purchasing their helmet, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, pants, and cleats.

Note: The season begins the week of August 17. Game days are Saturdays, August 23 (Scrimmage), September 6, September 13, September 20, and the final game is Wednesday, September 24, under the lights!
