The inaugural MPCS STEM Expo will occur March 26 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Students in grades 6-12 will showcase displays, presentations, and activities from our science, technology, engineering, and math in the Hughes/Adair Gymnasiums and dining hall. Students have created hands-on, interactive displays of various discipline-specific phenomena and innovations. The expo will celebrate our students’ cultivated STEM/STEAM skills through exhibits displaying refined concepts, lessons learned, and practical applications. Sage Dining will also be exhibiting delicious “Food for the Future!” Guests may also interact with robots built by Eagle Robotics teams. Our Cub Scouts’ Pinewood Derby-engineered cars will also be featured at the event. Students of all ages and parents are encouraged to attend! Click below for more about lower school STEAM day.
Lower school will also be participating in a Spring STEAM Day on March 22. Students will be presented with STEAM challenges that focus on helping a story-book character resolve a problem. Students will work through the Engineering Design Process in small groups in order to create a solution.
