Spiritual Emphasis Days

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS DAYS

This Thursday and Friday, March 18 and 19, our middle school students will participate in the annual Spiritual Emphasis Days here on campus. With physical distancing still in effect, it will look a little different than in years past. On both Thursday and Friday mornings, students should be dropped-off at their regular carpools and report to their homerooms. Lunch will be provided on Thursday ONLY; a snack will be provided on Friday. Friday is a half-day, so pick-up is at 12:00 p.m. at Shelton Circle. (Parents should enter at Stilesboro Road. ) Dress is casual. Please adhere to the normal dress-down policy. These days are required days of school and will be considered an unexcused absence if missed.

HIGH SCHOOL SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS DAY

On Friday, March 26, the high school students will participate in their annual spring Spiritual Emphasis Day. This will be a time of worship, spiritual growth, and connection. However, with physical distancing still in effect, it will look a little different than in years past. In order to allow for enough space for students, we will be splitting the day into two identical events that will take place on the MPCS campus.

The morning session, from 8:15-11:30 a.m., will be for students in grades 9 and 10 ONLY. Students in this session are to be dropped off at the high school circle. Sophomores will report to the Kristi Lynn Theatre, and freshmen will report to the Hughes Gymnasium. Attendance will be taken at these locations.

The afternoon session, from 12:00-3:00 p.m., will be for students in grades 11 and 12 ONLY. Students in this session are to arrive between 11:40 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and are to park in their normal assigned parking spots or be dropped off at the high school circle. Seniors will report to the Kristi Lynn Theatre, and juniors will report to the Hughes Gymnasium. Attendance will be taken at these locations.

No lunch will be provided at either session, but we will have a dessert food truck on campus to provide a FREE treat for the students. Students who do not drive will need to be picked up at the high school circle, beginning at 11:30 a.m. for the morning session and regular carpool times for the afternoon session. Dress for the day will be casual. Please adhere to the normal dress-down policy. This day is a required day of school and will be considered an unexcused absence if missed.

We look forward to connecting with our middle and high school students during this special time.
