We are so very proud of our varsity softball team, who fought to the end to become the 2A State runner-up team.
In the final game against Jeff Davis County, K. Cunane struck out 3 with 19 first-pitch strikes. Hits came from R. Collins, M. Tamborra, K. Cunane, A. Anderson, and M. Westbrook. Running support came from M.E. Carroll, M. Carroll, and C. Ealey. Great outfield defensive play in the Elite 8 championships tournament by A. Hudson, M. Westbrook, B. Walden, and S. Brown. Left side defense by A. Anderson and M. Collins was truly dominant with fundamental support by R. Collins, K. Cunane, and M. Tamborra on the right. S. Suttles was a wall behind the plate with multiple throw-down outs.
The team finished the season 31-7 and 14-0 as Region champions. Congratulations!
