Congratulations to senior string bass player W. Duncan for being selected as a member of the 2021 All-National Concert Band! He is the first MPCS musician to be named to this prestigious ensemble and is anticipated to be the only bassist in the entire country playing in the concert band!
Having now been named to the All-State Jazz Ensemble, All-State String Orchestra, Governor’s Honors Program, and All-National Concert Band, he has completed a musical "grand slam" and is essentially ranked on a national scale as a champion first (string) bass player. This is a mere short-stop on what promises to be an exciting musical career as he catches every opportunity that pops up.
