Eagle Robotics Team 11364 Diamond Plate was in action this last week at the FIRST® World Robotics Championships in Houston, Texas. The Eagles were among 15,000 students competing in robotics for the title of world champion. Only 160 out of more than 7,000 teams made it to the world stage, representing the top 5% of all high school robotics teams in the world! A truly international event, the Eagles competed with and against teams from over 40 countries. They finished with a record of 3-6 in the robot game and were recognized as a Think Award Finalist. This means the team was recognized as producing a Top 10 engineering notebook in the world. Journal entries must include descriptions of the underlying science and mathematics of the robot design, game strategies, the design, redesigns, successes, and opportunities for improvement. We are extremely proud of these freshmen and sophomore students who have exhibited world-class excellence in STEAM. Eagle Robotics Diamond Plate team members are Steven Baker, Aidan Hanson, Tade Idowu, Jacob Kessock, Sarah McCune, Grant Terry, and Eric Torp. Congratulations!
