2019-20 MPCS Rhapsody Show Choir Information
Who: All middle school students interested in participating in show choir. No audition required as
this is a no-cut Arts extracurricular activity. Registration forms are due by Wednesday, September 4, so don’t delay.
Rehearsals: The first rehearsal will be Thursday, September 5 at 7:00 a.m. All rehearsals will
be on Thursday mornings at 7:00 a.m. in the MAC Choral Rehearsal room or the Black Box
Theater and each rehearsal is vital. In the beginning of this process, we will have a couple of
Saturday rehearsals which are to be determined. Students must be able to commit to being at
all rehearsals. If your child has too many conflicts (at the discretion of the director) with the
rehearsal calendar, then they will be unable to participate. Please state those conflicts on the
form. Excused absences from Thursday morning rehearsals will be illness or family
emergencies. Make-up tests and work for other teachers should be done on other days.
Performances: During the 2019-2020 school year, the show choir will perform in the Arts
production of Christmas Spectacular along with the high school students. Students must be
able to commit to every rehearsal and performance during tech week.

Fees: There is a yearly Performing Arts fee of $65 . This fee allows you to participate in as
many performing arts shows as you can fit in your schedule during the 2019-2020 school year.
A player-pack fee will also be required and will not exceed $150. This fee will cover a uniform,
music, and other materials required for the production. All fees will be charged to your
Student’s FACTS account. Please pay your bill online.
