New Faculty Spotlight: Claire Stephen

New Faculty Spotlight: Claire Stephen

Each week, MPCS highlights a new member of the faculty and staff so that our community can further deepen our relationships.

Title: Technical Director, Murray Arts Center

Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Theatre Studies, University of Texas-Austin

Number of Years in Profession: 6

Fun Fact: I LOVE National Parks! I have been to 44 of our nation's 63 big parks. My favorites include Channel Islands, Big Bend, Katmai, and the Grand Canyon. Last summer, I spent two months in Alaska. Hopefully, I will check off the Hawaii parks next year!

Connections to MPCS: I am brand new to Georgia and the MPCS community!

What Makes You Excited About Working at MPCS: I love teaching Theatre Arts! The Murray Arts Center is a beautiful facility, and I cannot wait to see it full of excited students sharing their talents and efforts onstage and backstage. Getting to do what I love, in a beautiful place, full of dedicated people? What could be better!

What I'm Reading Right Now/Favorite Book: I love to read fantasy novels. I read every night before I go to sleep and never travel without a book. I can read all of the Harry Potter books in a week.
