New Faculty Spotlight: April Moody

New Faculty Spotlight: April Moody

Each week, MPCS highlights a member of the faculty and staff so that we can continue to build our community.

Title: High School Directed Studies Math Teacher

Education: BS in Secondary Education of Mathematics, Auburn University; MEd in Secondary Education of Mathematics, Troy University

Number of years in my profession: 24

Fun fact: Fall is my favorite season because I love college football and Thanksgiving. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family watching games and eating tailgate snacks. Thanksgiving is such a special time for my husband and three kids. We travel to Alabama and spend the whole week making great memories. We have so many family traditions that take place during the week. The day after Thanksgiving, all the men play in the family golf tournament known as the "Turkey Cup". Then on Saturday, the whole family gathers to watch the "Iron Bowl".

What I'm reading now or favorite book: Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst

What makes me excited about working at MPCS: I am excited to be teaching at MPCS because I get the opportunity to help students with their math skills and share my love for Christ. Also, as a new faculty member, I have been overwhelmed with the love and support shown by all faculty and staff. It truly is a community of people who honor God, love others, and walk in Truth.
