Students in Kindergarten through fifth grade enjoyed a day working through the Engineering Design process in small groups to develop solutions to help story book characters. Students attended presentations from our high school and middle school teachers where they were able to gain an understanding of how their challenges related to real-world problems MPCS alumni, Luke Van de Vate, who is now an engineer at C.W. Matthews, demonstrated the complexities of building a bridge to our third-graders. The day ended with our high school Eagle Robotics teams running their robots in the Collaboratory as they shared about the robotics program and the importance of STEAM!
