The MPCS Legal Eagles Mock Trial team spent more than 12 hours in the courthouse on Saturday competing against some of the toughest teams in the state at Mock Trial Regional Competition. In these trials, in which students present as the Plaintiff or Defense, MPCS scored among the top three teams and will advance to District Competition on March 5. Special congratulations to our award-winning attorney, S. McCune; award-winning witness, B. Crawford; and award-winning witness in two rounds, L. Burton!
Mock Trial teaches students not only the basics of law and best courtroom practices, but also important life skills such as close reading, writing, memorizing, improvising, public speaking, and critical thinking. Way to go, Eagles!
