The Complete Reading Series (The CRS) is sixty–five hour professional development training in structured literacy based on The Science of Reading. The six classes are Early Literacy: Phonological / Phonemic Awareness, Focus on Phonics: Decoding and Encoding, Comprehension: Helping Students Remember What They Read, Words for the Wise: Morphology, Learning Disabilities that Interfere with Reading and Written Expression, and Understanding Dyslexia.
The CRS training is designed for administrators, teachers and parents. The program is supported and written based on scientific research from the National Reading Panel, the NICHD Education Research Program, Drs. Sally and Bennett Shaywitz, and the National Institute for Literacy. The CRS is aligned with the International Dyslexia Association’s Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading.
