Executive Council Spotlight: Mitch Jordan

Executive Council Spotlight: Mitch Jordan

The MPCS Executive Council is the key leadership team who helps make the day-to-day decisions in support of fulfilling the MPCS mission. We encourage you to learn more about each member as we feature the various departments weekly.

Title: Athletic Director

Education: B.S. in Management, Georgia Institute of Technology; M.A. in Educational Leadership, Gordon College

Number of years in my profession: 20

Professional experience: Previously, I worked as a Senior Accountant at Arthur Andersen and worked for several dotcoms prior to transitioning to education.

Fun fact: I try to read 30+ books a year. I enjoy spending time with family.

What I'm reading now or favorite book: My favorite books for 2022-2023 are Power of Regret by Daniel Pink and Beyond Order by Jordan Peterson.

Connections to MPCS: Our daughters Claire and Riley Jordan are seniors in the class of 2023. Our oldest, Mallory, graduated with the class of 2021.

What I love most about MPCS: I love the daily interaction with students, staff, and faculty. The people are what make MPCS a special place. The teachers and staff love and care for the well being of the students.

What I love about my role at the school: Athletics provides many opportunities to learn life lessons. Our coaches are great people and teachers. They take the time to invest in the lives of our student-athletes. It is rewarding to be a part of this wonderful group of individuals.

My hope for MPCS: To continually focus on the mission of the school. We can never take our focus off the mission of the school.
