Cruising with Band and Orchestra

Cruising with Band and Orchestra

During winter break, 43 students, parents, and teachers participated in a cruise festival on board the Mariner of the Seas. The student ensembles performed several pieces for an adjudicator and had a fantastic clinic period afterwards. The ensemble received excellent ratings, with trophies awarded to the top sections, strings, and percussion. The marching band received superior ratings and blew the crowd away with their performance of “Paint it Black.” The adjudicator also awarded three musicians for having a significant impact on the success of the performance: Noah Dyer (Trombone), Madison Vann (Clarinet), and Charles Butryn (Cello). The students then enjoyed visiting Nassau and Coco Cay before returning home.
