The Dozier School of the Arts (DSA) is a high school arts magnet program that provides students with opportunities to excel in music, dance, drama, visual arts, and commercial entertainment industries. DSA students focus on five character traits in their training: Commitment, Accountability, Responsibility, Disciple, and Sacrifice. These character traits are leveraged for individual skill improvement and also for servant leadership mindsets.
College admissions offices recognize the DSA as a program of rigor within the MPCS academic profile. Seniors who meet the minimum requirements for DSA recognition leverage their arts experiences on their high school transcripts for rigor enhancements to their college applications. This year, roughly 30 percent of MPCS seniors will be recognized as having met or exceeded the DSA standard.
Congratulations to the 2022 DSA seniors!
