Fourth-grade students participated in the annual Silver Pens Writing Contest, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Lost Mountain. The contest asked students to use their creativity and imagination while honing their writing skills.
In an anonymous review process, class finalists and honorable mentions are chosen by MPCS teachers. Finalists' entries are then submitted to the Kiawanis Club, who chooses the schoolwide winner. A very special congratulations to A. O'Kelley for being selected as the 2022-2023 MPCS schoolwide Silver Pens winner! She is invited to read her prize-winning paper at a Kiwanis meeting, where she will receive a plaque and $20 in gold-colored coins. Class finalists received a silver writing pen.
