Fourth-grade students participated in the annual Silver Pens Writing Contest, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Lost Mountain. The contest asked students to use their creativity and imagination while honing their writing skills.
In an anonymous review process, class finalists and honorable mentions are chosen by MPCS teachers. Finalists' entries are then submitted to the Kiawanis Club, who chooses the schoolwide winner. A very special congratulations to S. Lindsey for being selected as the 2021-2022 MPCS schoolwide Silver Pens winner! She was invited to read her prize-winning paper at a Kiwanis meeting. She also received $20 in gold-colored coins, as well as a plaque. Class finalists received a silver writing pen.
