The Mount Paran Christian School Eagle Backers athletic booster club will host its 14th annual golf tournament on Monday, April 25, at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw. Members of the community, including corporate sponsors, are invited to participate in this year’s event, which benefits MPC student-athletes. This year, a portion of proceeds will go to a dedicated scholarship to benefit an MPC student-athlete.
The day will begin with registration and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by a gathering at 8:45 a.m. and shotgun scramble at 9:00 a.m. The awards, lunch, and raffle - which includes a TaylorMade Stealth Driver and other prizes - will be presented at 2:00 p.m. There is even a new car prize for a hole-in-one! The last day to register is April 14.
The Eagle Backers golf tournament raises needed funds to benefit MPC athletic facilities and programs, as well as support various ministry partners such as Blue Skies Ministries. MPCS is committed to using athletics as a vehicle to build Christ-like character in the lives of young people, preparing servant-leaders to honor God, love others, and walk in Truth.
Previous year’s proceeds have contributed to athletic success at MPCS through field maintenance and enhancements, gym floor refinishing and increased bleacher seating, new lockers in locker rooms, cheer and wrestling mats, athletic uniform updates, track and field equipment, tennis shades and ball machines, baseball field enhancements, new safety technology football helmets, concessions equipment, softball and baseball helmets, basketball equipment, lacrosse and soccer goals and equipment, and State championship rings and apparel.
With your support and participation, this year’s golf tournament can be our most successful athletic fundraising event ever. Whether your child is in preschool, lower, middle, or high school, the athletic program is an important part of the experience at MPCS, and you can make a difference by participating in Eagle Backers’ primary fundraiser!
