Team Shelton
The MPC mascot is the Eagle. Voted on by previous graduating classes, the MPC Eagle mascot was named "Shelton." Duties of the mascot include appearances at football games, Blue & Black Bash pre-game tailgates, pep rallies, basketball games, Homecoming, Hoopcoming, and other sporting events. Additionally, Shelton makes appearances at key student and admission events throughout the year. Students who volunteer "incognito" may earn a varsity letter with specific lettering requirements satisfied.

MPC Mascot
Shelton, the MPC Eagle mascot, promotes the school in a positive way and encourages school spirit! He is the face of advancing the school and provides a sense of belonging for the MPCS family. The mascot brings pride and unity to alumni, students, athletes, and MPCS community members with charisma and cheer.
Each year, Team Shelton works tirelessly to promote school spirit via the mascot costume. Several incognito teammates work together to ensure Shelton's safe and silly presence at MPC sporting events and other school festivities. Students may volunteer to "be" Shelton and/or to act as his handler to guide his steps through the crowd. Shelton team members will receive a MPC varsity athletic LETTER for required participation on the team.
