MPC Fishing

MPC is located on 68 acres and beautiful Lake McDonald, where fishing is part of the Eagle experience.

Fishing is a GHSA-sanctioned sport in both middle and high school for girls and boys. Anglers must have access to a boat and driver and typically fish in team pairs. Teams compete in High School Bass Nation tournaments in the area each fall, and GHSA events each spring.

In addition, MPCS hosts a lower school fishing club on campus. Summer Programs hosts fishing camp each year.

Ansley Koza

Head Coach

Coach Koza has been involved with the MPC fishing team since its beginnings. As a co-owner of the Dugout fish and bait shop, her family is highly involved in the sport fishing industry. She has two children, both graduates of MPCS and who have pursued competitive fishing at the college level.
Jocelyn Sotomayor

Assistant Coach

Jocelyn Sotomayor is the an assistant coach for the varsity fishing team. She works at the Mount Paran as the assistant head of the lower school.
