Shelley Ray brings to MPCS 12+ years of experience as a teacher and varsity competition cheerleading head coach at South Forsyth High School and Lambert High School. Coach Ray spent the first eight years of her coaching and teaching career at South Forsyth, followed by a three-year tenure at Lambert, where she started the competitive cheerleading program during the school’s inaugural year. She led her programs to nine top-four finishes in the state, including two State runner-up awards and two State championship titles. At MPC her teams have earned three of their 13 State titles.

Coach Ray was named the Georgia Athletic Coaching Association Region Coach of the Year while at South Forsyth and was inducted into the South Forsyth Athletic Hall of Fame, along with her back-to-back State championship teams. Coach Ray coached cheerleaders that went on to cheer for the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State University, Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, and Georgia Southern University. Coach Ray graduated from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in education. She is married to Vince Ray, with whom she has two children, Landry ’22 and VJ ’27, who attend Mount Paran Christian School.

Ashley Cochran serves as a junior varsity competition cheer coach. She is also the Assistant Head of High School at Mount Paran.

Harmony serves as a community coach that assists with coaching JV Competition Cheer.

Chakara Reed is one of the head coaches of the middle school competition and sideline cheer teams. She works at Mount Paran as a sixth grade math teacher. 

Katherine Stiltz is one of the head coaches for the middle school competition and sideline cheer teams. She works at Mount Paran as a high school social studies teacher. 

Alison is the head coach for the fifth grade competition cheer team. She works at Mount Paran as the assistant head of middle school.

Grace Ann is a community coach that helps coach third and fourth grade cheer. 

Courtney Cofield helps coach third and fourth grade cheer. At the Mount Paran she is the Eagles Nest School Store manager.
