Varsity Volleyball Area Champs

An amazing season was had by our MPC varsity MPC varsity volleyball team who ended the year as Area Champions and making it to a Final Four playoff appearance. They finished finished competition strong with 38-12 overall and 8-1 in Area play. We our proud of our Lady Eagles!

Metro 10 Volleyball Champions

Congratulations to our middle school volleyball A team for bringing home the Metro 10 Championship trophy. Defeating Mt. Pisgah, the number one seed, in 3 sets secured their big win as the Champions. Great job players!

Fourth and Fifth Grade Boys Basketball 3v3 League

Boys in rising grades 4-5 are invited to participate in a 3v3 basketball skills league again this winter. Practices start December 1 and official 3-on-3 inter-squad scrimmages will give boys the opportunity to focus on fundamental basketball skills and techniques that translate to game play. Metro 10 Golf Champions

Big congratulations to our middle school boys golf team for bringing home the Metro 10 Championship trophy as they ended their season undefeated. Winning the Metro 10 is no small task among highly competitive teams. Slade Brawner finished with 34 strokes, Michael Rockouski with 35 and Ethan Litschke and Jack Mallouk each with 36, respectively. Congratulations on a great season!

Varsity Volleyball Claims Area Championship

The MPC varsity volleyball team beat Mt. Pisgah 3-0 and claimed the Area Championship! L. Dunn led the team attacking with 15 kills. Serving was led by N. Scheonborn with four aces and E. Kemp completed two blocks for the defense. The team finished the regular season 35-11 overall. On Wednesday, October 15, the Lady Eagles will take on Paideia at home at 5:00 p.m. to start the State Playoffs!

Dedicating The Renovated Knox Athletic Performance Center

Mount Paran Christian School hosted a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly-renovated state-of-the-art Knox Athletic Performance Center and Wellstar | PT Solutions Athletic Training Facility. Thanks to the many generous donors who invested in this project, the now newly-expanded and renovated Knox Athletic Performance Center and the upgraded Wellstar | PT Solutions Athletic Training Facility are now up and running smoothly and efficiently.

Grades 3 and 4 Football and Cheer for 2025-2026

MPC athletics offers boys and girls in grades 3 and 4 the opportunity to join the developmental MPC Rookie Tackle league and MPC cheer team. The season starts when school begins. Please take note of the signup date.

Eagle Backers Scholarship

MPCS senior student-athletes are invited to apply for the Eagle Backer scholarship, funded by a portion of the upcoming Eagle Backers Golf Tournament proceeds. The scholarship is awarded annually to an MPC senior girl and boy who work hard in the classroom and have played at least two JV/varsity sports during their time at MPCS. The deadline is March 27 to submit an application. 

National Spring Signing Day 2025

Congratulations to our phenomenal student-athletes who signed to take their skills to the next level. During the spring 2025 National Signing Day high school assembly, MPC celebrated 10 players from the MPCS class of 2025 as they signed their collegiate athletic letters of intent. This brings the total to 22 athletes who will continue to compete next year. We are so proud of you all!

Congratulations to Katelyn Smith – 2025 USEA Emerging Athlete!

We’re proud to share that K. Smith has been selected as a 2025 USEA Emerging Athlete in the U21 Regional Program. This summer, she will attend a prestigious clinic led by professional coaches and may be considered for selection to a national team.

Announcing New Director of Athletics, Mike Walker

We are pleased to announce that MPCS has selected Mike Walker to serve as Director of Athletics beginning July 1, 2025. The search committee chose Mr. Walker at the conclusion of an extensive national search that included talented and experienced administrators from K-12, collegiate, and professional athletic programs across the country. He brings to the job more than 20 years of experience in athletic leadership, most recently at Second Baptist School in Houston, Texas.

 
Summer Lacrosse Clinics For Rising 2-8 Grade Boys

This summer, MPC Varsity Head Coach Jared Arntzen will run weekly lacrosse skills clinics on Tuesday nights from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Players will be put into 2 groups depending on years of experience and skill level. This clinic will focus on ALL field positions (no goalies). 

Ryder Schaltenbrand Shines in Wrestling State Championship

Congratulations to Ryder Schaltenbrand '25, who made MPC wrestling history with an impressive second-place finish at the State Championship! His hard work and dedication to the sport have set a new standard for future athletes at MPC. We’re incredibly proud of all his accomplishments and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this remarkable MPCS student.
