Eagle Backers

Over the past decade, Eagle Backers has supported MPC coaches and players by supplementing the athletics department budget with tangible needs. Here’s a general list of items purchased by Eagle Backers in support of our student-athletes.

• Installed new digital scoreboards, including a video “JumboTron” in the Hughes Gymnasium
• Knox Athletic Performance Center improvements and renovations
• Built an equipment storage building in the Catherine Steele Sewell Stadium
• New throwing pit for track and field for discus and shot-put
• New track and field equipment
• New speaker system in Catherine Steele Sewell Stadium
• Launched a nutrition and fueling station for all middle and high school athletes in the Knox Athletic Performance Center
• New covered benches for soccer and lacrosse
• Hosting Blue & Black Bash pre-game tailgate experience
• Licensed music software for all facilities for pregame/halftime/in-game clean music
• GPS/tracking app for golf team
• Installed new turf in the baseball/softball batting cages
• Championship rings and apparel for teams
• Purchased new lockers for the baseball/softball locker room
• Added logos and branding to multiple athletic windscreens
• Updated athletic uniform for middle and high school teams
• Added concessions stand equipment, restocking, and staffing
• Purchased championship rings and apparel
• Purchased Garmin running watches for cross country
• Purchased new football and lacrosse helmets
• Purchased cheer run-through banner
• Funded the pre-game tailgates, mascot, student section, and school spirit for all sports

Eagle Backers athletic booster club” is the official parent organization of Mount Paran Christian. The Eagle Backer board uses membership and sponsorship resources to assist all MPC sports teams, coaches, and student-athletes. The mission of Eagle Backers is to financially support for athletic programs and promote school spirit. Operating in conjunction with the MPC athletic department, Eagle Backers is dedicated to advancing student-athletes, coaching staff, and athletic directors and seeks first to do this in a Christian-focused environment.

The role of Eagle Backers is to cooperate with and support the coaching and administrative staff at MPCS. The Eagle Backers booster club is to organize and implement club supported activities through financial and administrative support for ALL student athletic programs at MPCS.

No, the Eagle Backers support ALL sports in the middle and high schools. The Athletic Department and the Booster Club understands the importance of the middle school program and their role in the future success of the high school level. In addition, lower school benefits by having a strong athletic foundation for ALL future Eagle student athletes.

As with any public or private school, a small portion of the school’s budget goes toward athletics. Much of the funding for athletics comes from participation fees. The goal of Eagle Backers is to raise a substantial amount of money each year for ALL of our athletic teams that will provide them a competitive advantage on and off the field. Membership participation is vital to maintain our fields, equipment, and technology.

All families in grades pre-K through grade 12 who have a current or future Eagle student-athlete are encouraged to join the Eagle Backers booster club.
