Mount Paran Christian School is proud to offer a wide variety of activities for students to get involved before and after the regular school day.

Our extended-day programs include Early Care, The Zone after-school care program, and Summer Programs.

MPCS offers abundant extracurricular activities through performing arts, athletics teams, and academic clubs. Be sure to visit the arts, athletics, and academic web pages to explore more about these options.

Students may sign up for music and dance lessons through the Murray Arts Academy or athletics clinics provided seasonally through the MPC Sports Academy.

Extracurricular clubs for each school division are also listed on corresponding academic pages.

MPCS runs an excellent after-school program. All teachers and parapros are wonderful, including our Murray Arts Academy and athletics staff.

Complimentary Early Care

Early care supervision is offered for students in grades PK-5. Students may be dropped off at 7:00 a.m. Preschool students should be walked into the Sewell Cottage. Lower school students may be dropped at the Mulkey Hall main office entrance.

This service will be provided on all regular school days for no additional fee but does not include breakfast.

The Zone After-School Care Program (Grades PK-8)

The Zone after-school program offers a fun place to play, complete homework, and participate in supervised educational activities. Annual registration for The Zone is completed during enrollment. The daily drop-in rate is $25 per day with advance registration form completed by 12:00 p.m.

Lower and middle school students remain in Mulkey Hall, and preschooler/TK students are in the Sewell Cottage for The Zone.

After-school Policies

The Zone Grades PK-8 drop-in registration

As a reminder, no students are allowed on the school campus after hours without adult MPCS staff or parent supervision. High school students must be attending a supervised activity. At school dismissal times, parents/guardians are asked to make arrangements for the prompt pick up of children.

At the conclusion of carpool, all students in preschool, lower school, and middle school will be assigned to The Zone after-school care programs. Students who are not picked up by the conclusion of carpool (3:25 p.m. for all divisions) will be taken to the appropriate after-school program and charged the daily drop-in fee.

Did you know we offer a Drop-In Service? When space is available and with notification by 12:00 p.m. to the after-school care program, students who do not regularly attend The Zone may drop in for the day. Drop-in attendance requires a completed drop-in registration form and payment of the $25 drop-in fee.

Any student who fails to comply with after-school care guidelines or expectations will be denied the privilege of attending, and parents will have to make alternative arrangements to have their child picked up by 3:25 p.m. No children may be picked up by taxi services.
