In 2015, the MPCS Alumni Association was established to foster a spirit of community among the school’s alumni and further promote Mount Paran Christian School. The two primary goals of the association are to 1) connect alumni with alumni, and 2) connect alumni with MPCS. With four alumni events throughout the school year and more alumni volunteering to serve in various school capacities, it has been encouraging to see this program’s growth.
Wes Watt (’09) has served as the association's first president. After two productive years Wes is stepping down and Taylor Mulkey Kinsey (’09) is taking on the role of president.
Wes Watt graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and currently works with Scientific Research Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama. Under his leadership, the Alumni Association constructed by-laws and formed a working alumni council. As Wes concludes his two-year term and passes the baton to the next alumni president, MPCS is especially grateful for his service and grassroots efforts toward this valuable alumni program.
Taylor Mulkey Kinsey graduated from Lee University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. Taylor works in real estate with Atlanta Communities. She and her husband, Michael, live in the Marietta area. She also serves on the media team at her church - Mount Paran North - and works with the youth ministry. She has served on the alumni council for two years, volunteers in many other areas of our school, and has served as an intern and a substitute teacher at MPCS. In January 2017, she directed the middle school performance of “Miss Nelson Is Missing”. Taylor says she looks forward to continued growth of the alumni program and hopes to build upon this foundational work through alumni connections with each other and MPCS.
