The Kristi Lynn Theatre

The Kristi Lynn Theatre was named after the wife of Don Dozier, in memory of her and her love of the arts. The Kristi Lynn Theatre (KLT) contains a total number of 577 seats. There is not a bad seat in the house.

The theater houses a spotlight booth in the upper rear of the theater with two control room options - one in the back of the main level and the other in the center of the house on the main level, equipped with state-of-the-art SSL digital audio consoles and a Grand MA lighting console.

Acoustically, the ceiling is lined with a series of wood-crafted sound enhancers called 'clouds' which not only hide the catwalks and lighting systems, but provide the theater with the perfect acoustical treatment for optimal sound. Along each side of the theater, large wooden panels open up to display fabric panel inserts to increase or decrease the amount of 'ring' desired by each performance and/or artist. Along the back of the theater are "flutter free" sound absorption panels.

The extensive system of lights in the theater includes over 32 robotic lights. Every event is amplified loud and clear through the three sets of Nexo Line Array speaker clusters.

The proscenium stage itself contains a hydraulic orchestra pit and 34 line sets, capable of supporting set pieces, curtains, and lighting systems, and three sets of curtains - the main red outer curtain, a blue cyc, and black scrim.

The stage is very versatile, offering a rear-projector and giant viewing screen for any lecture-based events, and even a flown orchestra shell to enhance the sound of instrumental or vocal performances.
