The Dozier School of the Performing Arts
The Dozier School of the Performing Arts trains servant-leaders, through performance-focused worship, to reflect the awesome works of the Lord through the use of their God-given talents. Specifically, The Dozier School of the Performing Arts (DSPA) is a school-within-a-school designed to provide intensive high school programs of study in four major areas of performance:
- Dance
- Drama
- Vocal Music
- Instrumental Music
Students will specify one major area of study, but they will also be expected to study multiple areas throughout their DSPA education. As students progress through the four-year track in their specified area of study, flexible scheduling arrangements will be used to provide time for the extensive coursework and additional study requirements defining the program.
As the programs of DSPA develop over the coming years, more classes and experiences will be made available to students. Along with the daily courses, students will have opportunities to perform in the community as well as within the school, to be true servant-leaders by sharing their gifts with others. Whether students become performers, teachers, or advocates of the performing arts, the vision of the program is to assist the students in providing them with the tools to help achieve their goals. After completing all study requirements, evaluations, and performances, students will graduate with a certification from Mount Paran Christian School stating the significance of completing this high school performing arts program dedicated to the glory of Jesus Christ.
