Varsity Girls' Basketball
Congratulations to Hadley Cannon and Katherine Freeman for being selected to the 2010 All Region 5A basketball team!
Coach Gernatt ("Coach Tag" as she is known) is in her second year at Mount Paran Christian. She comes to MPCS with a rich background in women's basketball on the university level within the ACC, Big Ten, SCAC, SEC, and Sun Belt Conferences. Her experience includes positions at Oglethorpe University, Troy University, Mississippi State and Florida State University, where she recruited three Top 10 classes in five years (including the #1 rated point guard in the nation.)
No stranger to Cobb County, Gernatt graduated from Wheeler High School, where she played basketball and was selected for the WHS Hall of Fame Wildcat Class of 1987. She received her MSM/MBA and BSM from Georgia Tech. She currently resides in Marietta.
