Football

MPCS offers football as a no-cut sport to male student athletes in fifth through twelfth grades on three teams - high school, 7th/8th grade, and 5th/6th grade. All home games are played on our campus.

High School Football: The team plays a full varsity schedule competing against other GHSA schools in our region. MPCS does not currently field a separate junior varsity team, but the JV schedule gives younger or less experienced high school players the opportunity to play and develop. The varsity regular season begins in late August and extends into early November. The top four teams in our region then advance to post-season state playoffs which continue until early December.

Fifth - Eighth Grade Football: Both teams compete in established leagues against local schools of similar size. Their games often include a fifth quarter to give their younger or less experienced players the opportunity to play and develop. Their seasons begin in late August/early September, and conclude with playoffs in late October.

Spring training for all teams is held in May, optional conditioning is offered throughout the summer, and mandatory practices begin in early August.
