  • Senior Jazz Guitarist Named #2 in the State Cole Liston Earns Distinction By GMEA

    Congratulations to Cole Liston, who over the weekend was named the #2 high school jazz guitarist in the state of Georgia. On Saturday, Cole competed in the GMEA all state band auditions final round held in Valdosta, Georgia, and earned his distinction against guitarists from around the state.

    Student's Video Selected as a Top 10 Finalist

    Thanks to everyone who voted for Junior Chase Denton’s 30 second video “Stop the Drop". It was selected as one of 10 finalists in a contest sponsored by Georgia Public Broadcasting and your votes helped Chase finish in the Top 3. Chase’s video is an encouragement for Georgia high school students to stay in school and get their high school diploma.

    Eagle Robotics Advance to State

    The high school Eagle Robotics Team competed at Southern Polytechnic State University last Saturday in the 1st qualifier of the FIRST Tech Challenge. Team 7373 finished the competition as a semifinalist, winning 2nd place in the highest possible award, the Inspire Award, and 1st place in the design award.
